| A walking or driving scavenger hunt designed for any area with shops and businesses (including malls). Challenges include pictures, find items, brainteasers, a trivia quiz (brainteasers and quiz are non-location specific) and a final team presentation. |
HOW IT WORKS: This is an
walking or driving scavenger hunt suitable for any area with shops and businesses
(including malls). You'll need about 2 hours minimum for this hunt (unless
you remove some challenges). Your group will be divided into teams
of up to 10 people. Each
team will receive a collection bag (knapsack, duffle
bag or even a plastic shopping bag will do) containing
a digital camera,
their challenge sheet - the hunt itself - and various supplies. They will
then embark on the scavenger hunt, taking pictures, obtaining specific items,
solving brainteasers and completing a trivia quiz (brainteasers
and quiz not location specific; we need to keep the challenges as
generic as possible so they will work anywhere in the world). All the challenges are worth valuable points and there are some bonus point challenges as well. At the conclusion of the hunt, the teams will prepare an optional final presentation while you “grade” their challenge sheets to find the winners based on point total (award certificates are included with this hunt). THE WINNING TEAM will have had the most fun as a team while collecting the most points.
EXAMPLES: Scavenger
hunt challenges are broken down into the following categories: 14 picture challenges,
20 collection challenges, a mini trivia quiz (5 questions) and 5 brainteasers
to solve in exchange for play money and a final presentation (optional). Lots of different types of challenges to complete to keep it interesting, engaging and fun, fun, fun!
- Take a picture of your entire team looking like bored teenagers
copping an attitude in front of a place you’d think teens would absolutely
hate. Where are you and why did you select this place?
- What’s the cellular message? That’s it. You’ll
know it when you get it; IF you get it. Be prepared. (More
details on how to set this up are included in the hunt.)
NOTE: This
hunt is NOT a riddle hunt where one solves a riddle to find the item or the
next location. Brainteasers and quiz are not location specific; we
need to keep the challenges as generic as possible so they will work anywhere
in the world.
AGE RANGE: Age 14* to
adult (*based on testimonials and customer feedback.

NUMBER OF TEAMS or PARTICIPANTS:Unlimited number of teams with a minimum of 3 or 4 to a maximum of 10 people per team. We do recommend one facilitator/helper for every 2-3 teams to keep things running smoothly, especially when you grade team efforts and tally up completed challenges.
LENGTH OF THE HUNT: 2 to 4
hours, depending on the size of your group*: 5 minutes for opening instructions
and team organization; 1 1/2 - 2 hours for the scavenger hunt and about 1/2
hour or more for the grading, (optional) team presentations and awards presentation. *The
more teams you have, the more time it will take.
PRE-HUNT PREP TIME: For up to 6 teams, you can
put our scavenger hunts together in about 4-6 hours (includes shopping for supplies,
reading the scavenger hunt and prepping the materials); as you add teams, you'll
need to add time to the pre-hunt prep. You mostly need to print (and perhaps
edit) the documents included with the kit, pack the collection bags and you'll
need to get team prizes, digital
cameras and other inexpensive supplies like clipboards and pens. Our
