1920’s. Someone in the family is out to destroy the Godfather. So much
for loyalty to "da boss". Corporate
adaptation: Our Godfather is taking over your company or forming
an alliance with your company - you’ll all be one big “family”. Great
choice for a holiday party - make it A Very Mafia Christmas. |
There are
2 versions of this game available to you with purchase!
Version
1 is the Know It All version wherein the prime
suspects get the script/sequence of actions ahead of time and know whodunit.
Version 2 is the Narrator version where they'll
just get their character descriptions ahead of time and you'll add a
narrator to tell the story while your prime suspects act out what he/she
is saying. In this version they won't need to know whodunit. YOU
WILL RECEIVE BOTH VERSIONS WHEN YOU PURCHASE THIS GAME.
**Not
available on all games, only where noted.

THE STORY AND THE CHARACTERS:
This is our most popular script because of the theme (who wouldn’t want to be gangster or dangerous dame from the 1920’s?) It’s also easy for “first timers” because of the straightforward plot: Someone is out to get the Godfather.
THE YEAR: 1929. (You can set it in modern day if you want.)
EVENT: A special party at the Godfather’s speakeasy, The Library.
STORY: The Godfather is having a very bad night when he discovers
someone wants him dead. Corporate adaptation: Our Godfather
is taking over your company or forming an alliance with your company - you’ll
all be one big “family”. Great choice for your holiday
party - make it A Very Mafia Christmas.
PRIMARY SUSPECTS:
- Donato “Baby Face” Brundizzi: Da Godfather. Need we say
more?
- Waldo “The Sneak” Brundizzi: Donato’s
much-maligned but cowardly brother who feels he shoulda been the Don.
- Crusher Joe Genelli: The Godfather’s
loyal bodyguard.
- Rita “The Rose” Scallopini: The
Godfather’s niece. A sweet?? Italian girl who lost her parents in a
car explosion about 5 years ago.
- “Dapper” Dan Johnson: The
Godfather’s disgruntled accountant.
Yeah, he may be scrawny but he could make a good Mafioso, he’s sure of
it!
- Jimmy “The Gyp” Johnson: Dapper’s
good-for-nothing brother. (Dapper and Jimmy can be played by the same person.)
- Fifi LaTrick: The Godfather’s ditzy moll. She used to be
Waldo’s.
- Connie Nonni: The Brundizzi brothers’ widowed
aunt. She's still grieving the loss of her husband and will for the rest of
her days.
SECONDARY SUSPECTS: Remember, EVERYONE will be actively involved
in this mystery because it will be their job to solve the case and because you’ll
be encouraging them to come in costume and in character. Use any or all
of these secondary suspects if you have “extra” cast members you
want to use or if you have some guests who want to take on a character but not
take on the full responsibility of a primary suspect. Give them their
secondary suspect instructions (included) and let them run with it. ***FOR
LARGE GROUP MYSTERIES (75 OR MORE): I'd definitely suggest
you cast your secondary suspects. During the mystery it will be the secondary
suspects' "job" to act as general support for the primary suspects.
They'll roam the room "gossiping" about the goings-in, quiet the
audience down during a main action, answer questions, bring primary suspects
to tables for questioning and make sure your guests have seen the physical clues
that have been revealed.
- Rosa Scallopini: Rita’s older
sister.
- Fast Hands: The Godfather’s
advisor.
- The Maul Man: A wannabe bodyguard.
- Dollface: A wannabe Mafia lieutenant.
Yeah, shes a dame. What’s it to ya?
- The Hammer: The Godfather wants to do business with him but does he want to do business with the Godfather?
